Thank you for visiting our Crossroads page.  Are you at a crossroad in your life?  Are you trying to decide which way to go? If so, you have come to the right place for help!

The Bible talks about two roads.  One is a highway which leads to hell.  The other is a small road which is straight and narrow which leads to God and eternal life.  Every person is on one of these two roads.  Eventually you will reach the end of the road and find yourself either in hell, or in God's presence.  The crossroad you find yourself at today will allow you to decide which road you want to travel.  The choice is yours.

To continue upon your super highway to hell you needn't do anything. But if you want to get off this highway you must take the designated exit.  You must decide to leave the road you are on and to take the narrow road to God.  Making the decision is the starting point.  Following through with your choice will require the effort.  Are you ready to take the exit?  Are you ready to the direction of your life?

Here is the road map information you will need.

1.  We are all sinners.
You know what I am talking about.  Everyone has sinned.  It is this sin that keeps us from God and puts us on the super highway to hell.

2.  There is a penalty for sin.
Have you ever received a traffic ticket?  There is a penalty or fine that must be paid.  Some traffic violations have severe penalties including the loss of driving privilege or even prison.  Sin has the ultimate penalty, death and hell!

3.  We need forgiveness.
Our sin keeps us from God and therefore we need our sins forgiven in order for us to make the turn onto the road that leads to God. But the penalty for our sin must be paid before we can be forgiven.

4.  We need a savior.
God's law demands that the penalty for our sin be paid.  Since we could not pay it ourselves, God paid it for us by having Jesus die in our place. Through Jesus' death we can receive forgiveness.

5.  What must I do to receive forgiveness?
Ask.   It is really that simple.  It says in the Bible that if we admit our sins to God that He will forgive us and wash away all our evil past.  Is this really all there is to it?  Basically, yes.  Of course it would be really rude on our part if we asked for forgiveness and then turned right around and continued to do the same sins.  So we need to take this one step farther.

6.  Making Jesus the Boss of your life.
The Bible says that we should believe that Jesus is the Son of God and that we should make Him the boss of our lives.  If we will do this, then we will be saved.  If you think about it, this makes total sense.  You must believe in Jesus in order to accept His forgiveness.  Additionally, if we make Jesus the boss of our lives then He will lead us NOT to do the same old things that got us into trouble to begin with.

7.  Making the turn.
Are you ready to  make the turn?  It's really quite simple.  All you have to do is have a little conversation with God, that is, pray.  If you're ready, then read this simple prayer to God and start your life out on a new road to heaven.

"God, I know that I am a sinner and deserve death and hell.  Please forgive me for all my sins.  Jesus, thank you for dying on the cross in my place.  Please be the boss of my life.  Show me how to live for you.  Amen."

"What do I do now?"

That's a very good question!  A good place to start is to find a church where you can learn more about this new road you are on and have a chance to hang out with fellow believers.  Follow this LINK to find a good church in your city.

Another good place to start is study God's road map, the Bible.  If you don't own a Bible and would like to receive a free one, click HERE.  A good place to start reading the Bible is the Book of John.  Check out the table of contents in the front of your Bible for a page number.

Finally, you need to talk to God every day.  Now don't go and get your head all messed up about prayer.  It's very simple.  Praying is just talking to God.  You can do it on your bike, in your car, in a chair, or just about anywhere.
